Best described as a commanding absurdist string band, the Yellow Dandies combine ace musicianship, distinctive humor, authentic bluegrass and old-time stylings, newfangled experimentation, and a manic energy which keeps audiences hooked, hooting, and hollering for more.

Whether they’re dazzling crowds with tongue-, finger-, and mind-twisting original compositions or rejuvenating Bluegrass standards and old-time dance tunes, the Birmingham-based band has been taking listeners on eclectic romps that never quite spin out of control since 2016.

The Yellow Dandies have performed at festivals such as CaveFest, Chomp and Stomp, and Bluegrass on the Rim - sharing billing with acts like Sam Bush, Leftover Salmon, Yonder Mountain String Band, Sierra Hull, Kitchen Dwellers, and Lindsay Lou.

The Yellow Dandies have directly supported artists such as The Steel Drivers, Gangstagrass, Golden Shoals, Mama Said String Band, Good Morning Bedlam, Raelyn Nelson, The Mountain Grass Unit, and Randy from Trailer Park Boys.
